On May 26, 2021, the Federal Council abruptly broke up the negotiations with the European Union (UE) regarding the framework agreement, without consulting the Parliament. Since then, the Federal Council has pursued a three-pronged policy that has been hardly convincing. Switzerland would do better to prepare a new Bilateral III package. |
